The Speeches

As part of our ongoing collaboration with RE:TV, we revisited some of the most impactful environmental speeches made by His Majesty King Charles III over the past five decades.

Through The Speeches, a short film marking the launch of RE:TV’s new YouTube channel, we brought together a diverse group of actors, activists, and environmental campaigners to breathe new life into these powerful words. From Idris Elba to Olivia Colman, these voices amplify the urgent messages that His Majesty has championed since the 1970s, from the perils of plastic pollution to the critical importance of biodiversity.

Our role in this project was to craft a film that not only honours the legacy of these speeches but also resonates with today’s audiences.

By interweaving archival footage with new readings from some of today’s leading figures, we aimed to highlight the timeless relevance of His Majesty’s vision for a sustainable future. The film serves as both a call to action and a reminder that, as His Majesty has long emphasised, the natural world is what sustains us - and it’s our collective responsibility to protect it.
